1880s Japanese Kanye Naga Hibachi

About the Item

A small Japanese Kanto Naga Hibachi brazier from the 1880s. Wood with copper lining. A small charcoal fire was used for cooking, making tea, and heating sake. Drawers for towels, tea leaves, and dried seaweed . Glass just sits on top, not attached to metal rim. I think someone put glass on it to use as a table.
