About the Item
All handcrafted and cool looking antique stand (with marks underneath).
If you are looking for something special to decorate your entrance, hallway, living room, kitchen, bathroom or bedroom then this antique stand could be perfect. This 'old timer' has led a lifetime of serving people and he is not planning to retire any time soon. The materials he is made off is made to last and when used normally this rare antique could live AT LEAST another century. His Victorian design is both recognizable and funny and that is ofcourse mainly because of his sideburns, his facial expression and his thin and long legs. Apart from some wear to the paint and some restaurational work that was done (by us) underneath the base, this cool and quirky antique is in very good condition. It certainly stands strong and stable. In our photos we have presented it as a decorative stand for antique umbrellas and whip hooks. However, with a (new) glass top, this decorative antique can also be used as a small table for presenting all kinds of things. No matter where you decide to have this antique on display, its overal design, its quality, its style and its decorative value will never fail to impress.
Mind you, our price for this rare, artistic, decorative and useful antique includes perfect packing and also free shipping from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 workdays (no matter where you live on our beautiful planet).
Maximum height x width x depth: 37 x 11.6 x 11 inches.
We have a passion for the unique, for quality, for stylish yet practical and for craftsmanship of years gone by. Your purchases will be extremely well packaged and we look forward to serving you (again).

- Black Forest Style Hall Umbrella Stand or Garden Bear Sculpture in Cast ConcreteLocated in Lisse, NLNever seen before, concrete Black Forest style umbrella stand. This is another one of our recent rare and great finds. We were given 1stdibs in buying several unique antiques and works of art from a lady who had to move to a smaller home due to old age. This concrete Black Forest Style bear was purchased 26 years ago from an antique dealer in the east of Holland (by her late husband) and it had been in their hallway ever since. Since we have never seen a concrete Black Forest bear before, we have no idea about the exact age. What we can see, is that the original bear stand was beautifully carved. Why someone took the time and effort to make a mold (which is very time consuming and often costly) and then only make one cast in concrete copy, is a mystery to us. However, we are pleased by that also, because that would make this old (or maybe even antique) concrete bear...Category
