Museum Quality & Condition Hand Carved Wine Pourer Clogg with Grape Vine Handle

About the Item

Rare and stunning table piece for connoisseurs. This museum quality and condition wine pourer could be the perfect display item in a local wine distillery, a restaurant, a wine bar, a liquor store, a wine cellar or on the table of every private person who loves everything to do with wine and great wood carvings. We think even Bachus himself would have loved to own this rare and extremely decorative, French talking piece. Mind you, this work of art is carved out of one log of beautiful fruitwood and it is in the best condition possible. You may be able to -somewhere in the world- find a similar object, but you will never find one of this amazing quality and incredibly good condition. It is signed (with a carved signature) on the front and we believe it spells J or S Boutilion. However, since we cannot find other work of this clearly gifted sculptor, we must be wrong about the name. Have you also noticed the caricature monk sculpture below the stunning grape vine handle? They too were known for making and drinking a good glass of wine. So if you are looking for a really cool and rare work of art that can actually still be used as a wine pourer (but also as a wine bottle display piece) then this could be the perfect gift for yourself or a loved one. Mind you, our fair price for this mint antique of the future includes perfect packing and also worldwide shipping from our store to your door in just 3 to 5 days. Maximum length x height x depth: 14.1 x 6.9 x 5.6 inches. We have a passion for the unique, for quality, for stylish yet practical and for craftsmanship of years gone by. Your purchases will be extremely well packaged and we look forward to serving you (again).

  • Unique Arts & Crafts Alabaster Pendant w. Hand Carved Grape Bunches & Wine Leafs
    Located in Lisse, NL
Top quality alabaster shade pendant with deeply hand carved grapevines all around. Thanks to its good size, its unique handcarved design and extremely good condition this alabaster chandelier is bound to light up both your days and evenings. What makes this particular alabaster pendant stand out from those that we have seen and sold over the years are both the great colors AND the stylish and all-handcarved grape bunches and wine leafs that are going all around the shade. If you look closely then you will realize that these grapevines are not only the most deeply carved you will have ever seen, they also have been hand-carved with a technique that is called "(we cannot find the name for it yet)". Most of us are unable to handcarve anything half-decent, but the artisan whom created this work-of-art-light-fixture took it to another level alltogether. Not only did he hand-carve beautifully detailed grapevines with grape bunches and wine leafs, he also managed to carve everything around it away whilst still keeping the stunning alabaster shade perfectly round. Using this particular technique of hand-carving on a flat surface would already be very difficult and time consuming, performing it on a round surface is something only the true master carvers would have been able accomplish. Red and pink & black and white are the main colors in this, one of a kind alabaster pendant and with the light off this work of art really is a joy to own and look at. However, with the light switched on this amazing shade comes even more to life and then this chandelier creates an atmosphere that is unlike anything we have ever seen. For this unique light to still be in this amazing condition after more than 100 years is not only an ode to the craftsmanship with which this light was handmade, it also shows how former owners have taken great care. We could shoot many more photos, but you still would not be able to see the true beauty of this alabaster stone shade and you could still not get a good idea of the unique beauty and class that this chandelier radiates. In real life our antiques always have that little bit extra and this stunning pendant truly epitomizes that. You can (again) take our word for it. Have you also noticed the perfect bronze and bross suspension points? They too are in perfect condition. To us, this is the perfect antique pendant for a restaurant or winery, but it will also look perfect in a cosey entry hall or in a bedroom. Both with the light on and off its artistic beauty will never go unnoticed. The replacement, anthracite colored, metal chains and the replacement, anthracite colored and height adjustable brass canopy are like the icing on the cake of this masterfully crafted and truly stylish chandelier. It is rewired to the highest standard for safe and immediate usage in the USA as well and thanks to the metal hook inside the height adjustable canopy, safely mounting this amazing chandelier tight to your ceiling can be done in just a few minutes. With perfect packing (in a custom made box) and worldwide delivery from our store to your door in just 4 to 6 days included in our fair price this unique antique...

  • Antique & Large Hand Painted Colorful Flowers, with Butterfly Tile Serving Tray
    Located in Lisse, NL
Rare and beautifully hand painted and glazed, porcelain tile in superb condition with branches frame serving tray. This beautiful quality and marvelous design tile serving tray is another one of our recent decorative finds and an absolute joy to own and to look at. We have recently listed on 1stdibs one of the largest, single tile serving trays and this is a similar, but smaller one. This fine specimen too is antique, hand-crafted AND hand-painted and this tile could not be in better condition also. There are absolutely no cracks in the porcelain tile and the glazed surface made sure that the hand painted colorful flowers with some insects and the stunning branch and leafs patterns have not faded at all. There is an elegance about the wonderfully flowing motion with which the beautifully colored flowers and leafs and branches are painted and that makes this antique an absolute joy to look at. The good size and thick tile is inlaid perfectly in the naturally beautiful and stylish branches frame and the strong handles on either side make it easy to use as well. This rare and ready to use Arts...
