This is a tall antique pouring jug. An English, brass and copper ewer or long stem vase, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900. Distinctive use of Dual materials creates an attractive appearance Displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original order Polished brass presents a bright golden finish Delightful warm copper tones to the broad rim and foot Serpentine carry handle of large proportion, with tactile rolled finish Engraved maker's mark to base reads J.C. - Brass and pattern number 501-1 This is a superb antique pouring jug the proportion lending itself to use as a decorative long stem vase. fine finish and colour.     A fine and impressive pair of antique Victorian English sterling silver sparrow beak style creamers, boxed; an addition to our silver teaware collection. These impressive antique Victorian sterling silver cream jugs have a plain baluster sparrow beak style form onto a circular spreading foot. The body of each jug is embellished to one side with two impressive bright cut engraved crests, a stag's head erased and a thistle erect, leaved below the motto ‘Yvery’. The jugs are fitted with opposing scroll handles, each ornamented with a subtle plain thumb piece. These impressive antique cream jugs have sparrow beak style spouts. These cream jugs are fitted to the original hinged leatherette box with satin and velvet lined interior and push fit catch. The interior of the box bears the retailer’s mark ‘William Angus & Sons Silversmiths, 27 & 29 Lord Street, Liverpool’.
