Vintage David Marshall 57 Piece Cutlery Group Set 1970s Flatware Brutalism

Vintage Brutalist 57 piece cutlery set/group, designed by renowned Scottish sculptor David Marshall (b.1942). Circa 1970-80s. Cast brass and stainless steel. Demonstrating the sculptor's signature use of contrasting metals. The Scottish sculptor opened a workshop in Southern Spain in the late 1960’s, where he began creating his original designs and sculptures which replicated nature while combining modern technology as a creative contrast. A scarce opportunity to acquire a large consignment of cutlery from this designer. Consisting of: 9 x knives, forks and spoons set (service for 9) 6 x teaspoons 3 x breakfast spoons 15 x various serving cutlery (e.g. cheese knife, salad servers, cake knives etc) 6 x napkin rings, 5 of the same design and a single design A few of the knives have the Marshall mark. In very good condition, showing some light signs of use as expected. None of the steel ends are out of shape. There are some oxidation marks to the napkin rings in places. The larger servers are approx. 25cm long. The knife/fork/spoon set is approx. 20cm long.
