Antique Victoran Cased Silver Plated Nut Cracker & Pics Set, 19thC

This is a highly decorative antique Victorian silver plated folding biscuit box, the base bearing the makers' mark of the renowned silversmiths Fenton Brothers of Sheffield, England, circa 1890 in date and bearing the Staniforth's Patent mark as well as the registration number 3549. It has a beautifully shaped body sitting in a cast frame with remarkably chased branch supports and the original interior features elegant hand-pierced dividers. It opens out into two halves and is held shut by gorgeous laurel wreath loose ring handles at the top. This wonderful container could house anything from sweets to biscuits or trinkets. This is a gorgeous antique silver plated cruet set bearing the makers mark of the renowned silversmith Wade, Wingfield Wilkins & Co and circa 1860 in date. The set comprises a beautifully decorative silver plated cruet stand holding six exquisite cut glass condiment bottles traditionally for chilli, soy, cayenne, vinegar, oil and ketchup. The antique silver cruet features a central rectangular shaped handle and body on bun feet, the six cut glass cruet bottles feature three with glass stoppers and three with silver plated lids. This is truly a special item and will attract the maximum amount of attention, the quality and craftsmanship are undeniable. Condition: In excellent condition with no dings, dents or signs of repair. Antique French silver plated serving condiment set. There is an ornate centre handle with two engraved condiment holders standing on feet. The glass bottles are shaped to fit the holders. Measuring width 16.5cm / 6.5 inches, height 24.8 cm / 9.7 inches, and depth 6.9 cm / 2.7 inches. The stoppers are not the originals, and are not matching. There is a bit of damage to the bottom of the handle, and a slight dent to one of the condiment holders. We have not cleaned inside the bottles.
