  • Antique Kobenhavns Porcellains Maleri Royal Bayreuth Floral Tea Coffee Service
    By Royal Bayreuth
    Located in Dayton, OH
Early to mid 20th century exquisite twelve piece gilded floral tea set including a lidded teapot, creamer, lidded sugar bowl, six teacups, and dessert serving tray. Dessert tray by Royal Bayreuth Bavaria. Tea set by Kobenhavns Porcellains Maleri. "Royal Bayreuth is the name of a factory that was founded in Tettau, Bavaria, in 1794. It closed in 2019. Later dishes may include the words U.S. Zone (1945–1949), the year of the issue, or the word Germany instead of Bavaria." "The Copenhagen Porcellain Decorating Workshop was founded in 1883. In 1924 it was acquired by the wholesaler company Holst & Knudsen. Holst & Knudsen imported to Denmark whiteware porcelain from Germany and decorated it.The Great Depression made difficult importing cheap German porcelain. That's why Holst & Knudsen established in 1936 own porcelain factory Porcelænsfabriken Danmark. During first years of production, the factory was using the Kjøbenhavns Porcellains Maleri (KPM) mark. It continued production till 1969. In 2012, the Danish Porcelain Manufactory – Lyngby Porcelæn...

    Located in Dayton, OH
"Antique 1936 Reed and Barton number X610 sterling silver 925 tea pot, creamer and sugar bowl set, trimmed with bands of swirling leaves, and engraved with the initials CMC. “The Reed & Barton story began in 1824, when Isaac Babbitt created a new metal alloy - ""Britannia metal"" - in his Taunton, Massachusetts pewter shop. Babbitt joined forces with craftsmen Henry G. Reed and Charles E. Barton to produce this innovative, higher quality pewter ware. When Babbitt encountered financial difficulties, Reed & Barton offered to take control and began manufacturing products under their own names. The fledgling company's goods reflected uncompromising standards of excellence, starting with its initial silverplate products and extending to the exquisite sterling silver creations that resulted from the silver discoveries of the late 1800s. The company has remained privately owned by the family of Henry Reed. Besides the flatware for which it is renowned, Reed & Barton operates other brands as well: Reed & Barton Handcrafted Chests, the world's largest manufacturer of handmade chests, cigar humidors, pen chests...
