19th Century Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Presentation/Fruit Dish

About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver presentation/fruit dish; an addition to our dining silverware collection. This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver fruit dish has an oval boat shaped form onto an oval pedestal foot. The flared body of this fine Victorian dish is embellished with pierced vertical pales accented with circular motifs. The body is further embellished with fine and impressive applied festoons decoration suspended from oval floral motifs and incorporating a tied leaf festoon bordered vacant cartouche. The upper rim of the dish is embellished with an applied floral motif and festoon decorated borders, incorporating an impressive scrolling handle to either end. The plain oval well of this impressive piece is plain and unembellished. The oval domed pedestal foot is encompassed with further pierced ornamentation with applied festoons. Dimensions Length 24.7 cm/9.7". Width 16.5 cm/6.5". Length of foot 10.2 cm/4". Width of foot 7.4 cm/2.9". Height 12 cm/4.7". Weight 14.9 troy ounces/464g. Condition This antique silver fruit dish is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The dish has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. There are some natural fire marks in keeping with age. The applied and pierced decoration is very sharp.     A fine antique Victorian English sterling silver bon bon dish, an addition to our silver dining collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver bon bon dish has an oval shaped form onto a pedestal and oval spreading foot. The body of the dish is embellished with embossed fluted ornamentation accented with a central scroll and leaf decorated motif to the centre of the well. The undulating rim of the dish is encompassed with embossed decoration in addition to pierced simplified foliate designs. The pedestal is embellished with further embossed alternating fluted decoration with a plain rim. The underside of the dish bears the registration number 'Rd 163770.' Condition This antique dish is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition. There are some fire marks to the well of the dish, in keeping with age.     An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver goblet; an addition to our collection of wine and drinks related silverware This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver goblet has a circular bell shaped form onto a knopped stem and circular spreading foot. The body of this 1870s silver goblet is embellished with bright cut engraved foliate festoons accented with pensile leaf drops; these vertical designs form four cartouches. The cartouche to one side bears a bright cut engraved fruit design; the further three remain vacant. The knopped stem is encircled with a plain moulded border to the centre. The foot is ornamented with further bright cut engraved overlapping arch designs, accented with an applied bead decorated border to the rim.
