About the Item
German style sterling silver mug.
The cylindrical signature body with the lower part with larger diameter steps to ensure stability. Two plate handles make it safe to hold with two hands.
It is then possible to open the double lid only with a small pressure of the thumbs.
The tankard, completely handmade, has always been engraved by hand with floral motifs and volures. Each part of the body is engraved with a burin. The base was engraved with striped and dot motifs, as well as the edge of the lids. The only smooth parts of the object are the handles and the top of the lid, this for a visual contrast and to make it more elegant.
Italian silverware, already with a centuries-old tradition, had a great development in the twentieth century and produced pieces of the highest quality that the whole world envies us. Italian craftsmanship had a kind of new Renaissance after the war.
Thus was born a large number of high quality silverware where exceptional pieces are produced that today decorate the most prestigious houses.
