The surface of the glass body is embellished with a serrated texture which composes a match striker. The glass body surmounts an impressive circular shaped dished well, featuring with a raised rounded border with paralleling applied moulded decoration to the rim. This exceptional example of antique silverware is fitted with an oakwood insert to the underside of the base; this insert indicates the high quality of the piece.
