1920s Continental Silver Bird Peppers

About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique 1920s European silver peppers; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection These exceptional antique Victorian English cast sterling silver peppers are realistically modelled in the form of birds. The surface of these novelty silver peppers incorporate details reproducing reproducing the details of the birds' plumage and anatomical features. These unusual sterling silver peppers incorporate an array of pierced 'pepper' hole to the opening of the bird's beak. The plateau bases comprise the hinged covers/stoppers to the underside. Condition These antique novelty silver peppers are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional presentation condition. The hallmarks to the underside of each base have are clear in keeping with age and location. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these examples of antique silverware.
