Pairpoint Brothers Antique Pair of Sterling Silver Preserve Pots
About the Item
An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique George V English sterling silver preserve pots; an addition to our silver cruet and condiments collection.
These exceptional antique George V sterling silver preserve pots have a plain bell shaped form to a plain circular pedestal foot.
The lower portion of each preserve pot is encircled with chased concave fluted decoration.
These fine antique preserve pots are fitted with the original hallmarked push fit domed covers encircled with further fluted ornamentation identical to that of the body.
Each cover is surmounted with an impressive plain sterling silver ball finial.
These preserve pots are each fitted with reed decorated narrow loop handles.
Condition
These antique preserve pots are an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
There are some natural fire marks to the surface of each preserve pot, in keeping with age.
Full hallmarks struck to the surface of each preserve pot and rim of each cover are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of these pieces of antique silverware.
