Antique Hanau 835 silver perfume bottle by Gebruder Friedlander. The perfume bottle is crafted from 835 silver, originating from Hanau, and designed by the esteemed Gebruder Friedlander. This beautifully adorned bottle features a screw-up cap for convenient use, a distinguished family crest, and the number 2 as part of its unique design. Made in Germany, Circa 1880's Maker: A Gebruder Friedlander Dimensions: Length: 8.7 cm Depth: 6.2 cm Height: 16 cm Weight: 519 grams Condition: Age-related wear and tear, good condition overall. The work of the Friedlander brothers of Berlin, who worked for the Prussian court. The company was founded in 1829 by ZL Friedlander, who acted as warden of the Imperial mint to Friedrich Wilhelm I. Three generations of the family succeeded him, running the premises on Unter den Linden in Berlin, and receiving the royal warrant as jewelers to Princess Louise, the sister of the Kaiser. In the late nineteenth century the company worked in an eclectic range of styles and specialised in monumental centrepieces.
