A fine and impressive pair of antique Victorian English sterling silver sauceboats; an addition to our dining silverware collection. These fine antique Victorian sterling silver sauceboats have an oval rounded form. The surface of each silver sauceboat is ornamented with concave embossed flutes in a swirl design, with a scalloped style border to the rim. These Victorian silver sauceboats are fitted with impressive C-scroll handles featuring chased decorated stylized leaf thumbpieces and bifurcating opposing scroll lower terminals. Each of these fine examples of antique silverware is supported by three impressive applied and chased decorated volute scroll feet with unusual asymmetrical shaped decorated sockets, in the George II style. Condition These antique Victorian silver sauceboats are an exceptional gauge of silver, Fine quality and in excellent presentation condition. The embossed and chased decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each piece are all very clear.
