Art Deco Glass Ice Bucket with Silver Mount, Kattner & Co Vienna, around 1925

Molded, cylindrical glass body with bulges on the inside (cf. Koloman Moser 'Meteor' glass), medallions cut in almond shape on the outside connected by 7-fold transverse grooves, at the opening silver mounting with cut volutes and with a movable handle with cutouts in the middle part, loose, arched, profiled lid with knob. Made around 1925 Dimensions: Height: 18.0 cm / 7.08 inches Diameter: 13.0 cm / 5.11 inches Marks / Hallmarks: 800 - Fineness Toucan head - Viennese official hallmark 1922-1939, & from 1946 'K.C' - Manufactory mark KATTNER & CO, founded in 1896, trade conferment in 1920 Condition: excellent maintained condition - silver cleaned and polished.

    This is a very good quality crystal cut glass cologne or perfume bottle with a sterling silver screw top lid, made in London and dating to the early Art Deco period, 1919. The clear glass bottle or jar has a rectilinear shape, having an oval section, with finely hand cut vertical sides and small panels cut on the shoulder.
