Art Nouveau Navette Shape Silver Centerpiece With Floral Decoration, Vienna 1900

About the Item

Festive solid silver vessel in the form of a navette-shaped bowl with a lobed, projecting foot resting on four points of contact, large rocaille-shaped panels on the front and back framed by floral relief decoration in the form of intertwined tendrils, branches and flowers, long wavy leaves raised at the sides to form two handles, aristocratic monogram with a five-pointed crown. Matching glass insert with curved rim and circumferential cut groove decoration, diamond-shaped base with cut ground star.
