Hammered Sterling Silver Torah Pointer

About the Item

This sterling silver Torah pointer (Yad) from Israel has a hammered finish on the handle and a sterling silver chain on the end to hang on the Torah. The tip has an index finger pointing, making it easier for the reader to follow along. A beautiful gift for a bar/bat mitzvah or as a dedication to your synagogue in honor or memory of someone. This will be used each week during services and is a special way to commemorate a happy occasion.

    An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Russian silver Torah pointer/yad; an addition to our Judaica silverware collection This exceptional antique 19th century Russian silver Torah pointer/yad has a knopped tapering cylindrical form. The bulbous knops are each plain and unembellished. The plain tapering handpiece is embellished with applied interlacing designs to the upper portion. The shaft of this silver Torah pointer has a stranded twist design, to an undulating circular collar style knop. This lower knop terminates with an impressive hand, with its index finger pointed.
