Handcrafted Sterling Silver Artichoke Salt Shaker and Pepper Mill by Missiaglia
About the Item
Established in Venice in 1846, Missiaglia is one of the world's premier makers of the finest jewelry objects, as well as a select number of bespoke sterling silver tabletop accessories. This handcrafted artichoke salt shaker and pepper mill showcase the skill of Missiaglia's artisans in rendering life-like plant and animal forms in pure sterling silver. The handle of the pepper grinder is executed as a stem and features a small snail shell along with several cropped leaves. The pepper mill's well is artfully concealed within the finely articulated globe of the artichoke. A single, hinged petal on the globe can be pulled back to insert peppercorns. Almost identical, the salt Shaker offers an intricately detailed leaf that holds the Shaker up to prevent salt spillage. Quite simply, these are the finest tabletop products that money can buy. These salt and pepper shakers would surely have been the choice of the Medicis. Mint condition.
