Henry Chawner Antique George III Sterling Silver Teapot Circa 1794

About the Item

Henry Chawner Antique George III Sterling Silver Teapot Circa 1794 Beautiful 18th century Georgian silver teapot in a tankard style stacked form, hefty spout and ivory insulators to handle. Fully marked to bottom. Weight approx: 20 OZT There is an applied plaque to one side that reads “In Remembrance of a very dear friend - who departed this life - 23rd September 1859”. Please also note that the handle has likely been modified at some point in its life. I do believe based on silver evidence that it was lengthened on the lower edge of pot.
