About the Item

International silver company Joan of Arc pattern of 1940. Nice clean service. A large almost complete service for twelve, many pieces were new in package and the rest had little or no use. Most used were Dinner forks, knives and soup spoons. (HH=Hollow Handle) Ten HH 9.25" short blade knives- one HH- 9.5" Dinner knife, 11 dinner forks, 12 salad forks, 10 teaspoons, eight oval soup spoons, one serving spoon and one vegetable spoon, one cold meat fork, one shell sugar spoon, two gravy ladles, one custom-made HH pasta server, one HH Lasagna server, two HH master butter spreaders, 62 pieces, approximately 2355 grams sterling silver weight.(calculation of (HH) Hollow Handled pieces included, excluding stainless blades). Forks and soup spoons need additional polishing. Comes with a solid wood case. The Joan of Arc pattern by International Silver Company exuding strength and femininity like the heroine for whom it was named, this exceptional pattern is embellished with Rococo scrolls and a sculptured shell motif inspired by the court of Louis XV. Its traditional curves are restrained by a modern sensibility emphasized in the slender handles. The finely carved border gives way to a raised central panel for added dimension, and the ornamentation appears on both sides of each exquisite piece. The Classic design, first introduced in 1940, is appropriate everyday meals and special occasions for décors ranging from casual to formal. Without Monogram, so they are ready for your personal monogram.
