20th Century Italian Sterling Silver Enameled Oil Cruet
About the Item
Sterling silver oil cruet.
The conical body of the cruet is smooth and shiny.
In the central part, olives and olive leaves were embossed and subsequently fired enamelled.
The spout and the handle are square in shape making the whole object very attractive and modern.
The lid is hinged and an olive made with the fusion technique and three olive leaves have been welded to the top.
The olive serves as a knob to lift the lid.
A satin gold plating has been done inside the cruet and under the lid as a finish.
Made in Florence in the Silver Fashion Silvan workshop at the end of the last century. u
The silversmith, whose business was closed at the beginning of the 21st century, used to produce high quality and completely handmade silver objects.
Many pieces of his production were finished with fired enamels.
