Fabulous French Sterling Silver flatware 23 pc with fantastic decoration in the Louis XVI style including: 11- Butter Knives 10in 7- Tea Spoons 6in 1- Soup Ladle 15in 2- Dessert/Oval Soup Spoon 7 1/2 in 2- European Fork 8 3/4 The dinner and dessert/entremet knives have stainless steel blades. Created in 1781 under King Louis XVI, This model is called "Louveciennes" in the catalogue Odiot. Louveciennes is near Paris and was the chateau of Madame du Barry, a favorite of Louis XV. This ornate model is decorated with a garland of bay leaves framing a shell motif. This model is called "Louveciennes" in the catalogue Odiot.
