    An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver and glass matchstriker; an addition to our ornamental collection. This exceptional antique George V sterling silver and glass matchstriker has a globular form to a circular shaped well. The surface of the glass body is embellished with a serrated texture which composes a match striker. The glass body surmounts an impressive circular shaped dished well, featuring with a raised rounded border with paralleling applied moulded decoration to the rim. This exceptional example of antique silverware is fitted with an oakwood insert to the underside of the base; this insert indicates the high quality of the piece. The underside of the well bears the retailer's mark 'Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Company, 112 Regent Street W', in addition to the full hallmarks.
