Pretty Italian Midcentury Modern Sterling Silver Watering Can

About the Item

Pretty Midcentury Modern watering can. Upward tapering bowl with chased bands and applied flowers. Gadrooned shoulder and straight and girdled neck. Rectilinear spout terminating in disc-form spout and capped scroll bracket handle in stained wood. Cover hinged and domed with gadrooned top and finial on waisted support. Perfect for genteel, clean-hands gardening. Marked “Sterling Italy / 925” with maker’s stamp (1944-68) for Franco De Giovanni in Milan. Gross weight: 24.3 troy ounces.
