Rococo Style Four-Piece Sterling Silver Tea and Coffee Set, Italy, 1984
About the Item
Magnificent set of 4 pieces in sterling silver consisting of one teapot, one coffee pot, one milk jug and one sugar box hand made by Ilario Pradella for Bellezza Cagliari.
Splendid chisel work typical of the Milanese silversmiths masters, the best in Italy, worthy members of the nation that gave birth to Benvenuto Cellini.
Each piece of the set was obtained by chiseling a silver slab in fact there is no type of welding in the body of the objects, the only welds are in the points where the spouts and the foots have been placed which have been worked in the same way.
Magnificent details of the knobs with the typical shell decorations, which we also find in the hinges and the spouts , typical of the Rococo style perfect reproductions of Genoese silver of the mid-18th century.
The handles are in carved precious wood

Pradella IIario, founded in 1920, was the greatest Italian silversmith of the second half of the 20th century, famous for his collaboration with Buccellati. We have had the honor and privilege of collaborating with them until its closure for over fifty years.
With silversmith marks for Pradella Ilario (26MI) .
