About the Item
Being offered is a pair of sterling silver candlesticks by William Durgin. They are column-shaped in the Tuscan style. A Tuscan column looks basically like a Doric column, except it is not fluted. It has a simple shaft that rests on a simple, unadorned base with a simple, unadorned capital and the base is round. This pair has a cartouche in the center that is not monogrammed and has wreaths on both sides. The base is NOT weighted.
