Hawkes' glassware was used in the White House from 1885 until 1938. Hawkes pieces can be found in museums world-wide. Over one hundred years old, this lovely crystal compote with a sterling silver base evokes a time gone-by. A time when entertaining was an art onto its self and beautiful items— objet d’art were sought after and collected. It has a feminine silhouette and delicate etching all around on top.
