Sterling Silver Vanity Jar
About the Item
Being offered is an Art Nouveau sterling silver and crystal vanity jar. Very popular in Victorian times and into the twentieth century, these jars were used for travel by women of means. These days (of course they can still be used) but more often are used for decorative purposes. The lid has an Art Nouveau design of flowers and vines around the edge. It can be placed on a vanity tray or on a shelf in your powder room. A pretty trinket that is reminiscent of times gone by.
