The upper portion is encircled with a chased rope twist decorated girdle flanked with engraved foliate and scalloped motifs. The decoration to the anterior surface incorporates a cartouche bordered with scale motif diaper pattern and large scrolling designs, all surmounted with a figural cherub mask between a pair of wings.
