An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English cast sterling silver presentation spoon made by Alwyn Carr; an addition to our Arts and Crafts silverware collection This exceptional antique George V cast sterling silver spoon has a plain rounded bowl. The surface of the bowl and the handle have a planished finish, all in the Arts & Crafts style. The handle is embellished with an impressive organic multi-stranded design. This impressive example of Arts & Crafts silverware was crafted by the renowned and collectable silversmith Alwyn Carr. This exceptional spoon is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire. Condition This antique 1920s silver presentation spoon in sterling silver is a superior gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The cast decoration is very sharp. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of the bowl are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this antique presentation spoon.
