Set of 24 antique English silver plate lunch dessert knives and forks, circa 1853, Martin Hall & Co. The Service comprises 12 knives and 12 forks, tapered quadrilateral handles; the handles, tines and blades all engraved with stylised foliate, wriggle work and geometric decoration. All pieces with mark for Martin Hall & Co and Registration Patent mark for February 20th 1853. Measures: Length of knife: approximately 7 5/8 inches. Length of fork: approximately 6 ¾ inches. Later fitted box.

    A fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver mustard pot; an addition to our silver cruets/condiments collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver mustard pot has a plain cylindrical form. The body of the mustard pot is embellished with pierced interlacing shaped arches accented with simplified floral motifs. The upper and lower rim of this sterling mustard pot is ornamented with an applied ribbed border. This fine mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged subtly domed cover surmounted with an impressive scrolling leaf decorated thumbpiece. The surface of the cover is embellished with pin struck decoration emanating from the centre in addition to a wriggle work stylised floral design.
