Art Deco Sterling Silver Hot Plate or Warming Stand - Mappin & Webb 1926

About the Item

Hallmarked in Sheffield in 1926 by Mappin & Webb, this stylish and functional, Sterling Silver Hot Plate, has an adjustable spirit burner for temperature control which comes fitted with a suitable wick. The silver frame has fruitwood handles and a central aluminium plate where the dishes you wish to keep warm would be placed. The hot plate measures 4.5"(12cm) tall, by 21"(54cm) wide, by 9.5"(24cm) deep.
