Rare Set Fish Knives and Forks, Figural Carved Handles with Glass Eyes, 1909

About the Item

A wonderful set of fish knives and forks for six; what of course makes these rare are the magnificent hand carved handles in horn in the form of fish, each sporting the original glass eyes each side of every handle. Complete in their original mahogany case, each piece is made from English silver plate with the makers mark for William Briggs and Co. of Sheffield. The decorative ferrules are made from English Sterling silver hallmarked for Sheffield 1909, Edwardian in era. The makers mark for these is Stevenson and Law. Excellent condition each knife measuring 8 3/4" and each fork, 7 7/8" and the case measures 10" x 8" x 2 1/2". Item ID: 40945.
