About the Item

A lovely set of 12 silver butter knives. This cutlery is presumably French, dated 1896. The knives are marked 800. The knives are richly decorated with graceful motifs and nice cannon handles. The knives are beautifully gilded, also called 'vermeille'. The knives are 19 cm long. Most likely these are butter knives, but they are also nice to use for small fish dishes. The set is in good condition.
