Set of Porcelain Knife Rests and Salt Cellars in a Duck Shaped and signed ROBJ

About the Item

An unusual and very charming table set consisting of six Art-Deco style duck-shaped porcelain knife rests, and two small salt cellars with their original tiny spoons. Hand-crafted from gleaming, gold-plated white porcelain, this set was made by the Parisian porcelain manufacturer 'ROBJ', each piece being stamped with its hallmark on the base. ROBJ manufactured porcelain and ceramic items from 1908 through to the early 1930's, and became known for their stylised Art Decó creations that often depicted caricatures of musicians, sailors, animals and French costumes. The set is presented in its original silk-lined case and is in excellent vintage condition.
