French Porcelain Hand Painted Floral Tureen, Acorn Detail, Late 19th Century
About the Item
19th Century Vieux Paris Hand Painted Soup Tureen of oval form, with two faux bolted handles to the sides; and domed lid with acorn form knob. The handles and knob resting in and on moulded leaves, picked out with gilding, and the detail to the acorn is also gilt. The sides and tops painted with pink and blue flowers, with bands of mustard yellow around the circumference of the piece. No makers mark. Placed in the period of late 19th century. A beautiful decorative object, with a wonderful array of colors.
In good vintage condition. Minor gilding wear, some wear to yellow band, as seen in photos. No crazing or chips. Star crack to lower body, near roses, see last photo.
