20th Century Italian Sterling Silver Champagne Bucket

About the Item

Oval shape solid sterling silver champagne bucket. The bucket was made entirely by hand starting from a silver plate of adequate thickness, then having to emboss and chisel floral motifs. An oval base was placed under the main body of the bucket to give impetus to the very structure of the object. The whole object was subsequently hand hammered and chiseled. The flower and leaf motifs were then subsequently fire-enamelled with green enamel for the leaves and ivory white for the flowers. Made in Florence - Italy by Silver Fashin Silvan for ARVAL ARGENTI VALENZA Italian silverware, already with a centuries-old tradition, had a great development in the twentieth century and produced pieces of the highest quality that the whole world envies us. Italian craftsmanship had a kind of new Renaissance after the war. Thus was born a large number of high quality silverware where exceptional pieces are produced that today decorate the most prestigious houses.
