The ball weight riddle. There are 10 painted wood balls available, same circumference, all of them, numbered from 0 to 9, 9 of which have the same weight and only one weight more than the others. The heaviest one must be identified by having only one two-pane scale available and being able to perform only two weightings. France, circa 1900.
