This beautiful hand-carved Black Forest serving plate hides a music box in its base. An extraordinary piece of folk art from the mid-20th century.
The music box can be operated with a key and has an automatic trigger that starts playing the melody as soon as the plate is lifted from the table.
The music box plays a beautiful folk melody for about 20 seconds after being wound up.
