Signed Pintail Decoy, circa 1900
We are proud to offer a unique hand carved circa 1900 working decoy, representing a pintail in original paint, and signed with makers initials and owners mark. This example shows some lovely aged detail which makes it a highly decorative and collectable artifact. With its layers of worn paint and elegantly hand carved shape it’s an easily placed piece of English folk-art.

Condition: This item is completely solid in structure and form if not a bit worn and weathered due to its obvious use and age. A wonderful natural patina and fading of the surface have taken place over the years. There is natural aging and crackling of the painted surface as you may expect of an item this old and its previous working life. Close up photos have been supplied to illustrate these points so please observe carefully.
