Finely crafted Feathered Stars quilt made more unusual with the pieced Bars alternating blocks. The quilt is in unwashed, excellent condition. It is quilted with chevrons throughout. There are some tiny, tiny brown specks in the double pink calico fabric. As the quilt appears to be in unused condition, they may have been present when the quilt was pieced. The American Applique Quilt is in a “Basket” pattern with the basket in brown color and the flowers in yellow, pink, and ivory on an ivory background. The quilt was hand stitched of individual pieces in each frame. It has four columns with each column having five baskets. It is truly a labor of love and dedication. The hand stitched quilts from the 19th and the early 20th centuries have become extremely collectable.
