Early 20th Century Unusual Ceremonial Stick

About the Item

Early 20th Century Unusual Ceremonial Stick An unusual early 20th Century hand carved ceremonial stick or sorts with open palm hand symbol. Throughout history, the open palm has been associated with truth, honesty, and openness. We are unsure of the purpose of this artifact apart from it could have been used ceremonially due its worn surface in key handling positions as shown in the photos provided. Nevertheless, this is one of those items that is unique and would make a great talking point. Size in inches: H 60” x W 5” x D 1” Period: Mid-20th Century Artists: Unknown Material: Wood Origin: Unknown Condition: Aged Condition Report 1. This item does not stand alone. 2. Worn surfaces. 3. The bottom is worn down naturally due to its use. 4. Missing sections due to wear and use at base. 5. The hand area shows lots of wear. Completely solid in structure and form, a deep natural patina across the item due to age and obvious use. This is an old artifact, so expect this to reflect in its condition. Please pay attention to all the photos as they aim to show the condition of the item as best as possible in natural light. Its exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas of these pieces, therefore we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment upon purchase. For multiple years we have sold antique and vintage items globally, please expect our items to show relevant age and natural wear, Items are only restored due to breaks and major loss, and we always stipulate this in our condition report.
