19th Century Curios Bear, Oil on Board Folk Art Painting
About the Item
A rather odd oil on board painting of a strolling bear, second quarter of the 19th century in age.
The bear itself has been painted by a particularly good hand, and is free of any restorations or alterations. The background has had some elderly touch ups and has signs of some old paint loss/bubbling.
The hardwood board has no signs of spilts or cracks, a single brass hanging hoop at the top.
Measure: 22.5cm/17cm.
