He moved to the USA in 1957, returning to France briefly for a few months in 1958, then arriving back in early 1959 to settle in San Diego California where he applied for naturalisation and became a longstanding figure in the artist's centre at Spanish Village in San Diego between approximately 1967-1974. He had married in San Diego in 1964. In the late 1970s he returned to France and continued to paint and sketch right up to 2019 (some of his later work is dated). Mazeilie's gentle, impressionist style fits into any interior environment, contemporary or Classic. Condition report: The painting is in good and sound condition, clean.
