About

This charming Swedish, Folk Art painting depicts a very prominent estate in Halsingland, where water power was used in manufacturing. The painting probably decorated the wall in the house and was removed sometime later with its original frame. This important house had two wings and high obelisks inside a fence with a river gate entrance. The surface of the linen canvas is in stable condition. It has two old repairs and has been cleaned. This painting is not only highly decorative but adds to our knowledge of Sweden at that time.
