Early 20th Century American Square Patchwork Quilt
Located in Barrington, IL
Hand pieced and hand stitched American square patchwork quilt circa the early 1900s. Each piece in the quilt is individually hand cut and stitched. It has embroidered seams on a flannel cotton backing. The beautiful quilt was found in the New England region, possibly having been made in Pennsylvania in the early 20th century. The pieces have bright colors including turquoise, red, yellow, blue, and many others which results in a vibrant hand crafted piece of early 20th century art that can be used as a bed cover or wall art.

20th Century American Amish Bars Crib Quilt in Purple, Blue, Green. Brown
Located in Barrington, IL
20th century hand-stitched and quilted American Amish Crib Quilt in a "Bars” pattern from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania. The quilt has a very fine hand stitching with primary colors of purple, medium blue, green, and black. The quilt has a brown back and a hanging pocket for display on the wall. The Amish community in Pennsylvania hand craft the quilts for their own use using the material that they had on hand. It is a beautiful example of an upcycling and reuse of material that has utilitarian functions but is also a representation of the art and culture that is woven into it.
