Handsome Antique Kazak Rug Character-Rich with Iconic Fence of Protection Perimeter About: Old-world charm packed in this piece with an iconic fence perimeter and sensational color palette with charcoal, teals, wheat, 20 shades of blue, and more. Ram horn motifs signify power and strength as these weavers in the caucusus mountains needed these characteristics to survive due to the turmoil and war between tribes for generations in these regions. You will even see an abstract "akimbo"" motif that signifies strength and resilience as well and represents a strong woman standing "akimbo" with hands on her hips!!! Amazing! You will notice the wear and natural patina throughout and it shows the raw wool warp and weft adding to its nomadic nature - no holes, no tears etc - the piece is old yet solid and ready to be loved! Size: 4.3 x 8 Age: Antique, C. 1920-30's Pile: Low/Medium with lovely distressed age-related wear and patina This rug is one-of-a-kind, only one in the world, no others are available.
