A pair of West African incised iron and copper wire axe form currency pieces. On custom mounts. In the form of a ritual axe, which in many parts of Africa was carried over the shoulder as a prestige item. They are in good condition, appropriate for its age, use, and medium. Scuffs and nicks here and there and some oxidation of the metal from age and use.. ex James Willis, San Francisco, CA.
