ELEGANT 1950s GERMAN 9 ARMS BLACK SPIDER CHANDELIER STILNOVO STREAM , REWIRED
German design from the 50s to 70s is leaving the world some valuable modern classics. This chandelier lamp design from the VEB Leuchtenbau Leipzig (formerly KANDEM) originally graced ballrooms, music halls, cinemas and theatres in the small east german republic. The chandelier is in good vintage condition, carefully cleaned, but rewired. The brass-plated surfaces show signs of life upside (patina & corrosion) and the black enameled some little iregularities too, which doesn´t disturb the elegant impression.
The 9 (+1 for reserve) glass flowers from 2-layered hand-blown opal glass (white inside, clear outside) are finally hand-cutted. These are flawless.
The diameter is 23 inches and the original height 32 inches.
The chandelier can be switched 0/3/6/9.
