1930s Art Déco Chandelier Maison Veronese Attributed to André Arbus

About the Item

This translucent blown glass chandelier with 6 sconces dates from the late 1930s and early 1940s. It was produced by the Veronese house and Attributed to André Arbus. Morano glass and crystal. It is made up of 6 large sconces adorned with large shells (9 inch in diameter). The shaft is made up of 6 pieces of blown glass, the ascending leaves are serrated and the others are curved. The Veronese house was founded in 1931, it directs the creation of custom-made lighting by the master glassmakers of Murano. André Arbus (1903-1969) was a 20th century French architect, decorator and sculptor.
